Work is absolutely *kicking* my butt this week, so I picked something safe and sweet to get me going this morning.

I'm a big Lancome fan, as I find their perfumes enjoyable, affordable (they frequently have 30% off sales), and most of them have incredibly good performance, which is an important point for me. They do tend to be on the sweet side however.

Idole is my favorite line. I have enjoyed all the flankers I have tried. Idole Aura has the classic Idole DNA - fresh, wearable, classy rose shampoo - and adds a salt note. It's perfect for summer and ends up reading as salty watermelon and rose, which is just delicious. One spray (it's potent) lasts all day. An easy reach for me.

    Ooh, I'm looking for a melon scent that doesn't read as pickle/ dill to my nose—you say Aura *reads* as a salty watermelon scent even though melon isn't listed in the notes? Thanks in advance for any input! I want to pick up a sample of it now❤️

      There is no melon listed but it really does smell like salty watermelon to me, and I've heard a few other people say the same thing! Hope it works out for you! Melon is a tricky note. Some others with melon I enjoy are Guerlain Flora Salvaggia and D&G L'imperatrice.
