Risky sampling on a travel day, but all the reviews on this pointed towards it being a very subtle skin scent (and I was fully prepared to scrub before leaving for the airport if I hated it).

Fear not, this is indeed lovely, and subtle. Violet and iris over a gorgeous sandalwood and musky base. Soft, delicate, powdery and creamy. Lasts well (going on 6 hours now and 2 flights) but does not project; just a happy, cozy lil personal bubble of purple florals and wood.

Very different than the beast-ish mode frags I’ve experienced from Ex Nihilo, but I do prefer more subtle scents anyways and could easily see myself adding this to my collection in the future.

    @dyjmerr I finally tried it! It’s great; you should definitely try to sample it if you are an iris lover.

      Yessss thank you 🙏 I just added it to my wish list. I’ve only tried Blue Taslisman from them so far so this will be the perfect one to dive more into the house with. Iris is my second favorite note after Patchouli so I’m always excited to try a new one .

      It’s definitely more on the powdery-lipsticky side of the iris spectrum, but I really enjoyed it! I LOVE Blue Talisman, too, but these are polar-opposite fragrances in every way I think, haha (except for both being extremely well-blended). Looking forward to hearing what you think!

      I love Iris in all its forms haha. I will definitely let you know. It’s on my sample list now. I’m taking a break from sampling for a few weeks to save for some music equipment but will pick back up normal scheduling soon 😂
