Nice but…

This has a gorgeous iris accord: it shifts between the deep, chewy rooty iris and a lighter vegetal iris. Comparing just the iris note, Iris Root reminds me of the iris notes in Gucci Tears of Iris, Boucheron Iris de Syracuse and Hellenist Les Bras De Morphée. —-but, if you are like me and make smelling iris perfumes a founding mission, this may lack something in comparison. It’s good. It’s nice. It’s pretty. But at the price tag, it doesn’t stand out. It doesn’t DO anything differently and others do it better for less money. I will be content to stick with my decant.
