70’s Extrait of 1000 Oily Magic

This strange bottle which has 1000, not “1000” on it was acquired for cheap on the internetz and smells AMAZING. It was advertised as a 1oz bottle that was half full. Well, I think they were a bit off because it was a chunky baccarat bottle and I don’t think they knew what they had.

Excellent payoff for the gamble. This is the second bottle of extrait I’ve bought that ended up leaky/evaporated during the time someone discovered the bottle until I received it. Definitely a noob because about 2mL leaked in the mail. No cause for alarm since it was under a hundo for what I believe is actually 20mL of the juice.

This particular bottle smells:

Top: BIG BIG OSMANTHUS note is buttressed by the stonefruit/violet backing. It is a single accord, but in this batch wow do I feel like I know what Osmanthus absolute smells like. Incredible texture— it’s smooth, damp, and feathery. It is incredibly rich WITHOUT indoles or animalics creating that effect.

Heart: a big hug of the essence of 1000, as this bottle says 1000, not “1000”, meaning it is a 70’s bottle.

Base: ROUGH oaky mossy woody bristle not unlike Magie Noire but only up close— the sillage remains a delightfully custardy violet/fruit musk.

Wheeeee
