Soapy spice bomb

Journey, It's very well made, elegant, and has a soapy scent. The bright opening is classy, almost laundry like, with the bergamot masterfully balanced with Sichuan pepper and cardamom. They're blended so seamlessly you won't feel them separately. The tobacco and incense come out later, accompanied by beautiful juniper berries, giving it a lovely herbal tonality thanks to the dry cyprol. This is a gentleman's scent, reminding me of a beautiful soap I found in India. All the elements lead to a sense of cleanness and opulent elegance, guided by the spices and herbs. I wouldn't call it a "spice bomb" as many do; it's more like an elegant soap made with herbs and incense on top of spices, where the pepper is prominent. The smokiness is present and very well-balanced. It's a great work, a masterclass union of new and old generation perfumers.
