Not like the others

City Rhythm does tropical Caribbean scents very well. Miami, Puerto Rico, St John’s, Tropical confessions, 8641, and 2654 all share this same energy with fragrances that feature coconut, rum, lime, white florals, and exotic notes.

I was expecting Key West to be another addition to this style, but its much more its own thing and stands apart in many ways. It still has coconut, but it’s much more of a supporting player that sits quietly in the background while the salt accord and florals do most of the heavy lifting. It’s definitely a departure, leaning more into the musk and strong florals. It’s much more mature and leans more feminine than the previous lineup. It’s not as mass appealing, so I feel like it’s going to get some negative attention. But I like the unique character. It fits with Key West’s tradition of quiet rebellion and dancing to its own beat.
