I was not prepared for how horrible Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s Kurky is. It smells, I kid you not, like sour/acrid Play-Doh.
This stuff makes me wrinkle my nose, and even after multiple wears, I truly do not understand the point nor the target audience. It’s an aimless, vague, synthetic mess. Where is my gummy candy? Where is my sugary musky fluffy gourmand? I can’t even pick out notes because my nose straight-up defaults to that instantly recognizable soft chemical scent from my childhood, as just mentioned: Play-Doh. I suppose it still IS a gourmand if your age is in the single digits and you dig that sweet sweet flavor of non-toxic, soft, malleable, brightly colored compound. I wouldn’t even recommend this to my worst enemy because if we ever fought, they’d have an advantage over me due to the distracting awful smell. It’s up there with the worst fragrances I’ve ever tried that are actually “trying” to be real wearable fragrances if that makes any sense. Like, sure, ELDO Secretions Magnifiques and Demeter Pizza smell worse, but is anyone really going to actually wear that?
If Kurky has no haters left on this Earth, I must be deceased. Longevity is poor (thank the heavens).
