A short stop at Taipei's new Serge Lutens counter
In my complete trust of @guerlinaughty 's well-seasoned nose, I was hoping to find La Myrrhe. Unfortunately, the bells jars haven't made it to Taiwan (yet?), so I had a little spray of two that had so far evaded me.
La Fille de Berlin: A crisp, berried rose, with a touch of that vintage lusciousness Serge likes to throw around. I smell the green stems, the earthy thorns and the wine-like reddish-purple petals. The perfect honeyed sweetness. It smells a bit too dated for me to wear, but not bad. 6.5/10
Five O'Clock Au Gingembre: A candied-zest, warmly spiced, delicately sweetened cup of ginger tea. I want to eat my wrist, but the sparkly, ambered nature tells me this isn't edible. I love how much the earthy-sweet cacao comes through. Again, I wouldn't wear it, but this is a lovely smell. 7.75/10
