Miller Harris isn’t discussed nearly as often as they deserve (though, that’s changing). And of the fragrances that are discussed, I never see anything about this one (which needs to change).

Incense, rose, and oud? Obviously, I’m here for it.

La Fumee Alexandrie opens with a soft, spicy mandarin and lychee over a heart of incense and rose. The woods hang back at first, though they provide a solid foundation. My skin tends to play up spices, but when the cinnamon/cumin starts to fade, it allows the incense and rose to really shine.

This is a rose/oud I could wear in warmer weather. I love it.

    I love this house. I tested this one hesitantly as I do not like cumin in fragrances. The cumin did fade as you also found, but, overall, too masculine for me. I totally get the appeal though!

      That’s fair - I like the sweaty feel the cumin gives, but can see it not being for everyone, haha
