I don't know why, but this stuff just disappoints me every time. The first time I tried it, I thought it was absolutely gorgeous. Now for some reason, the ambroxan in this really rubs me the wrong way and I genuinely dislike the way it smells. The citrus and apple in the opening are really amazing, but after a short while, all I detect is a really synthetic vanilla with an acrid ambroxan. I thought it had signature scent potential when I first got it, but now I regret using it whenever I apply it. 😣

    does this smell like eros at all? i cant stand eros but always wanted to sample this one. not even gonna try if its close 🤣

      Honestly, I have no idea what Eros smells like at this point 😂 I haven't smelled it in years

      Smells nothing like Eros. Eros is gross. Lafayette is ok. If you can imagine Nikos Sculpture Homme / Chanel Homme Allure / Xerjoff Uden, then you can imagine Lafayette Street. It's nicer than the Nikos, falls short of the Chanel and is totally outclassed by the Xerjoff. Very similar profiles of creamy citrus/vanilla/woody amber though.
