The blue that isn't quite

L'eau Bleue d'Issey Pour Homme is another of Miyake's twists. It's got Bleu in the name, it's in a blue and silver bottle.. so it must be mass appealing or like a fresh clean shower gel, right? Wrong.

L'eau Bleue opens similarly to Armani's Acqua di Gio EdT, but almost immediately veers into aromatic, almost fougere, territory. It leans heavily into the lemongrass and rosemary after the immediate opening, with a heart heavily influenced by lavender, cypress and star anise. The base is a similarly sharp cedar and moss.

Performance is good; it isn't loud but is present. Longevity is a solid 8 hours.
