Painfully Pretty

L’Oblio by Meo Fusciuni (a former nose for some fantastic Masque Milano scents) was an instant love for me.

Well on my iris journey, I came to this one looking for iris paired with woody accords or iris that on its own pulled woody as it can do). It checked the box but went well beyond it. Iris blended with the addictive trio of incense, tobacco and woods arrested me at first sniff. As the perfume developed, it told a whole story beginning to middle to end, subtly changing as it dried down to a woody-iris-powder.

Overall, I think it’s my favorite woody iris. Similar to Bois Precious (addition of leather), Vanyl, and Le Solatice this one is a “must sniff” for iris lovers.
