Endlessly glazed - and in my view, for good reason. It's hard not to like Imagination, simply because that warm ambroxan base, grounded in the smooth elegance of tea, is about as mass-appealing as it gets.

It takes a little while to get there, though. Louis Vuitton's characteristic blend of rounded citrus opens things up, lifted by a zing of spice and soft florals. The ambroxan does peek through early, lending an immediate sense of polish before fully blooming.

This takes my mind to a spotlessly clean coastal teahouse - a young, wealthy couple sitting side by side, sipping citrus-tinged tea as they take in a gorgeous sunset. They're immaculately dressed, entirely carefree, just enjoying the moment.

People like to complain about the performance of Imagination, yet on my skin, the ambroxan lingers almost indefinitely - easily surpassing 12 hours, with traces still clinging on even after a shower.
