Tried a couple LVs this evening

Symphony: A warm, bright, slightly powdery fruitiness that makes me think in pastel tones of pink, orange and green. Juicy bergamot, pink grapefruit, sweet orange and perhaps a touch of nectarous peach. After looking at the notes, it turns out there’s no peach, but it still smells quite fleshy to me. Ginger, hmm, okay, but I still find it’s the powdery grapefruit freshness that stands out the most. A scent for well-behaved boys and pretty girls, so entirely not for me. It has that 'thing' that Belletrud likes to throw around - the luxurious hotel-lobby, chic-ambrox vibe. Imagination has more of it, but there's plenty here, too. Hard to rate, because it smells great, but I'd like it much more as a room spray than a fragrance. 7/10

Myriad It’s a saffron-rose-oud. Say no more, really. The oud has a little stank to begin with - more barnyard and less leathery than Ombre Nomade. A bit of that gasoline comes through, but not much - it’s a smoother, woodier, less abrasive experience, becoming rose-heavy the longer it dries. What this really reminds me of is Zegna Indonesian Oud EDP, but more full-bodied and less synthetic. If you've tried that, then you can imagine Myriad. I like it. If I were a rose-oud man (and made of money), this would be an easy addition. 7.75/10
