Unexpectedly spicy

I've copied my review below.Much spicier than I anticipated. Not quite sharp with the aldehydes, which I don't usually get along with, but almost biting. This fragrance is supposed to be somewhat atmospheric and capture the quiet joy after a rainfall. I love rainy scents, petrichor, watery florals, damp greenery. I don't get any sense of those elements in this. When I came downstairs, my partner immediately said 'whoa that's spicy', and that was my reaction as well. With 1 spray. There is a hazy softness lended by the tonka and ambrette, but not lush or creamy. It's a damp day here, so I'd thought I would enjoy this more. I'll have to give it another wear in a week or so and see if my perception changes.
