Powdery sweetness

I received this as part of a discovery that included Country Classic, Kin, and Moonrise. Of the three, Moonrise has proven to be my favorite.

The scent is pretty linear. It’s powdery, slightly sweet, and gives off a barber shop vibe, which feels appropriate for a fragrance created by a shaving cream brand. That said, I am genuinely impressed. If this was released by someone like Maison Margiela or Parfums de Marley, it would easily cost 5 to 10 times as much and nobody would bat an eye.

Longevity is decent for an EDP at about 8 to 10 hours. It starts out with great projection that lasts for 3 to 4 hours before settling into a nice scent bubble that lasts for the duration. It slowly fades over time before finally disappearing complete around 8 hours or so after first spray.

At $35 for 50mL I think it’s a bargain. The discovery set was only $10, and they have bundle kits that add even more value with body and hair care products. All in it makes this a fantastic value.
