A Boozy Romp in My Nose

On initial spraying, I'm hit with cherry, a slightly less intense chocolate, but above all alcohol. Not the odor of raw alcohol per se; it's the smell you get if you raise a glass and linger too long near your nose before you quaff. The smooth, not sharp, alcohol notes of a very strong cocktail. Smooth, pleasant, yet it still has bite until the dry-down. After it's finished drying, you are treated to a predominantly sweet, almost woody aroma, with an undertone similar to licorice. It dries quickly, lingering for about half a day before dipping below the point where others would notice it.
