Sometimes it’s the ones that surprise you

Mystic Sugar is not my typical scent profile. I dislike pineapple (or so I thought) the combo of ginger and cardamom seemed too much for me (I was wrong) and ambers because they can range from overly synthetic to downright choke-me-out deserve caution. But a sample arrived with an order—tossed in as a thank you—so I looked up the notes, grimaced and then sniffed. I with wrong. This perfume is interesting and sweet, caramelized sugar (right before it turns to the sour burnt smell), sandalwood, and spices makes this a fun fall/winter perfume that takes me out of my comfort zone, challenges me, and smells nice. It’s a scent from my childhood, a fair grounds with spun-sugared treats.
