Nio is a picture perfect neroli/petitgrain scent; it’s not much more than that, but it does it perfectly. There are some other vaguely green notes in the background that make this more plant-y than fruity, but overall it smells like putting an entire lemon tree through a wood chipper and bathing in the pulpy remains. I lived in Northern California for over a decade and every time I would walk past a lemon tree I would crush some of the leaves and twigs in my fingers - Nio is the exact same smell. There are other similar scents like Mugler Cologne (more citrus and white musk) and Hermes Eau de Gentiane Blanche (more bitter and herbal) but this comes closest to the real thing, and lasts longer than the other two.
