Icarus’s wings would melt if he wore No. 22, as it flies close to the sun— not in an ozonic way, but in a delightful bright superdose of aldehydes.

No. 22 has the best mix of aldehydes out of any aldehydic floral because they’re BIG and LOUD and serve to augment the other two accords: white floral and sandalwood.

This bottle of Parfum is far richer than my vintage EDT, thus a special occasion fragrance. It is polite, clean, relatively gender-neutral, and just a great showing of what we missed out from Ernest Beaux. We got only 5 and 22 and 46 (for the few and the brave). Where’s the rest of the initial experiments? Miss Chanel was not a historian I guess.

  Haha, yes! I find it hard to fault any of the Chanel scents. Even the ones that aren’t for me, I still find beauty in them. I particularly LOVE Cristalle (the OG) and No.19. No.22 isn’t far behind. Enjoy the best scent bubble!
