Unmistakably DS&Durga. Their take on a rosy oud with saffron, camphor, galbanum, lavender, civet, and papyrus. I love - and have - a lot of rosy oud fragrances, but Notorious Oud is one of the more unique scents in my collection.
The papyrus and galbanum notes make the fragrance feel like a slightly dusty, occult tome on the forgotten third floor of a New England bookstore. Nothing is computerized, books are stacked chest high, and there’s no real system, but if you ask the old couple that owns the place for something specific, they know exactly where it is.
