Alone but not Lonely

True to its description, Nuit Désert is a cool, dry, quiet desert night. I get cedar, smoke, and a touch of leather. The cedar here reminds me of an old cedar chest that my dad built decades ago. The smoke is cool and airy, never going in a meaty/barbecue direction. I don't detect the jasmine or any floral elements, but I think they must be contributing to the delicate sweetness of the smoke.

This is an introverted scent in my opinion, meant to be enjoyed alone at night. I think it's perfect for an unseasonably cold summer evening. I regret not grabbing a bottle before it was discontinued, but I’ll savour my samples while they last.

Nuit Désert conjures the following image: A lone adventurer travels a semi-arid desert on horseback for days and days. They make camp for the night – a small fire and some blankets, no tent. Laying on their back, the adventurer listens to the gentle crackling of the fire and watches the smoke rise into a sky full of stars. Their body is tired but their mind is at peace.
