Well, this were immediate scrubs lol. I try them both and wore for about 20 mins before getting some rubbing alcohol, and then soap and water. Oud Khol smells like dirty diapers to put it nicely…. I was waiting for it to be better but at the same I realized that even if it did I never want that initial blast of aldehydes mixed with Oud which is justa awful. At the same time I do appreciate the creativeness in the scent as it is the most experimental in this line (and one of the last two I hadn’t tried), but it’s just and never will be for me. Not even demoted to room scent which is what I do with some scents I don’t like, this is just gonna be kept hidden away. Santal Pao Rose is okay but it just feels like a spoiled fig scent to me with some sandalwood. Not much to say on it, it’s not my thing and this one will be demoted to room scent lol. I got both of this as samples with my Oud Nude bottle and I think they thought I enjoyed Oud except the Oud in Oud Nude is so refined and subtle/well blended that I actually do not like Oud hahah. I also got Tobacco Honey which I don’t like because I don’t like honey but my mom took it since she loves that scent

    Random, but have you tried burning oud chips before? They’re nice to burn around clothes and then apply perfume on top of it, it locks in the fragrance and adds depth. This is very popular in my culture!

      I have not, but I would to try it some time as I’ve seen it in videos. In general I would like to try real Oud, from what I’ve heard is quite different from what’s in most of fragrances. I’ve seen a lot of proper Oud content from Noel Deyzel haha

      Yes, if I ever crave real oud, I’ll just burn it around the house or use pure oud oil. It’s super expensive, but a little drop goes such a long way. Oud is the one thing I’m willing to invest in when it comes to high quality 😁

      I’ll make sure to try it some day because I’m very interested in it. I know it’s not something available at all where I live unfortunately, but hopefully whenever I travel again

    ‘Immediate scrub’ defines my experience with Santal Pao Rosa as well. 😂 unfortunately, it smells awful to my nose, and my skin didn’t agree with it either. Not even a room scent for me, unfortunately. I’ll pass it on to a friend. Nice to see your view on Oud Khôl; I don’t think this is worth getting my nose on 🙅🏻‍♀️🧏🏻‍♀️

      Hahaha I tried passing it ro my sister and mom and neither of them liked it either, it’s just a lot. But yeah, stay away from Oud Khôl imo, this was Guerlain letting Thierry Wasser go wild ahaha

    Same experience. Can also add Rose Cherie to my scrub list. Thst one turned so sickeningly sweet on my skin.
