MolinardOud Magnetique4.110 ratingsEnjoyed this last night when I sprayed a little on my hand. It has a kind of classic feel, in a good way. As it dries down, something about it reminds me of a very attractive person, using good hair products. I saw a comment comparing it with Musc Kublai Kahn by Serge Lutens, but I’ve never smelled that one.

The more I smelled this one, the more I enjoyed it! I like vintage perfumes, so I can imagine someone calling it “grandma-ish,” especially in the opening. But I really like it, especially as it dries down. I notice that it isn’t talked about much, but those who do seem to like it.

I feel like Molinard is really underrated. That said, I wouldn’t call this “mass-appealing” necessarily. A little old school soapy at first and then of course there is some oud, with a deliciously

The opening feels classic/vintage but I like that! There is something animatic but not enough to put me off. Dark oud with some leather and florals with a classic touch. Molinard is great!
