What Am I Smelling? (Whatever It Is, It’s Really Good!)

How strange that I can't really pick out the notes of Goldfield & Banks’s Pacific Rock Moss, yet it is one of my favorites in my whole collection. I can't confidently state what's going on in this perfume — I look at the listed notes and nothing makes me go "oh, of course" — but whatever G&B have done here, it's really working (I guess it smells vaguely aquatic?). And I'm not the only one who loves it! I brought it into work and everyone who smelled it thought it was amazing... I brought it by for a Friendsgiving and the reaction was the same. It's synthetic, light, balanced, very inoffensive, and just well-executed overall. It has become a treasured part of my collection, a perfume that I wear often with great results. It’s decent for all seasons IMO, but obviously it really shines in the spring and summer. Performance is just okay, but it's not terrible by any stretch. It actually lasts a decent while as a skin scent. Value for price is middling even on discounters. But seriously, try a sample if you can. This one may very well make you appreciate aquatics in a way that you didn't before, or perhaps you will at least have more success picking out the actual notes than I have!
