I really loved this on paper - a light, juicy pear with creamy and meringue nuances that didn’t seem too sweet and leaned slightly soapy. Unfortunately it’s not working on my skin. I think it’s the mix of synthetic pear with the jasmine and ambrette, it’s giving me Pear Drops (a type of hard boiled sweet) mixed with acetone (found in nail varnish remover) and it’s putting the nurse in me on serious high alert🚨 … it smells very distinctly like the breath of a type I diabetic who has gone into severe DKA (Diabetic ketoacidosis). This might be a very pleasing scent to some, but please don’t spray this on an endocrine ward, unless you want to cause panic amongst the nurses and medics.

    I was curious bout this one but was worried it’d be too sweet. Now it’s definitely low down my list!

      It’s honestly not to sweet. And don’t let me put you off, I think it just has a too strong scent association with me that I can’t see in past that connection. It’s been 3 hrs and it’s starting to dry down to what I got on paper. It might be something you really like.

    Hahaha this is excellent. As you know, I’m a big fan and yet I can still see exactly why you feel that way about it! Personally I like the pear drops note, and on my skin it dries down to a really creamy vanilla. Glad you got to try it though! It’s my favourite of the 4 they have.

      It’s starting to dry down to similar to what I got on paper, and I can see why it’s liked. I think it just has too much a vivid scent association for me and I can’t get past that connection.

      Completely fair! I also have scent associations that ruin otherwise perfectly good fragrances to me - and in this case I think those top/heart notes last too long to overcome it.

    Pear is a note that can go really bad for me. I have one perfect pear scent (Liis Studied) and rarely try others because when it’s bad it’s so bad (and I mean bad to my nose—I think I’m overly sensitive to one of its components, maybe?).

    I haven't had as much luck with pear fragrances and your description makes me not want to try this 😅. If it's ever in a store I might spray out of curiosity

      I don’t hate it either, but the scent association is just too much. I’m ready to start myself on on the DKA protocol 🤣🤣

      So there is a good scientific reason for that smell association. A lot of fruit accords contain raspberry ketones which, as you know, DKA happens when ketone levels in the body are high. So fruity perfumes are literally formulated to smell like ketones. Isn't that wild? I love fun sciencey stuff.
