Bold, spicy, smoky, mysterious

First off, if you like light, fresh, mass appealing airy scents, you'll hate this. This is none of those. It's heavy, dense, smokey, hyper masculine leathery scent that actually reminds me of YSL babycat. I've never smelled the OG Caden, but I was intrigued when someone on this forum said that if you love Terra, you might love this too. And I happen to love Terra so much that I have 3 of them.

Based on the previous reviews I've read of this, I thought it would smell really vile. Someone said that it smells like a tomb. Someone else said it smells like death. While I agree that the opening is a little harsh, it's not THAT bad! Maybe coz my bottle is a little older, 04/2026. Who knows?

It starts off very leathery and with a medicinal smell that I can't place. I can sense the saffron (to me that usually comes forth like a tyre scent) and the cardamom, and light vanilla, and a while lot of incense and spices. When it settles, after about 25-40 minutes, the vanilla is a little stronger, and it becomes sweeter but not too sweet, not like Khamra sweet, and the whole scent is now a while lot smoother. Smells very gourmand in the dry down. I can also smell some fruit when it dries down, maybe cherry? Though it's not listed in the notes. Then it gets to hour 2 and it becomes slightly woody, a little smoky, still sweet, and a little powdery. I can't smell the coffee though. And on the far end of the dry down, it does remind me of Arabic perfumes of old, very slightly so. I don't like that scent profile though, luckily, I only smell it if I dig my nose on my wrist. In the air, it totally reminds me of babycat.

To me this is a work of art. Very complex, and unapologetically bold. Not linear at all, and I can feel it developing from top notes through to the dry down. Gorgeous scent! Love it! I see myself wearing this indoors, when it's really cold and raining cats and dogs outside, and I'm cuddled in a corner reading a book. This scent is perfect for that. World I wear this and go outside? No. Coz I don't think others would love this scent. This is one of those you wear only for you.

It lasts a stupidly long time, and projects heavily, and it's really strong. Definitely an acquired taste.

9/10 for me.
