The opening just gives me deodorant vibes - a laundered-bedsheets freshness, peppered with white florals. Yet it warms up into something that's garnered near-legendary status.

Iris and violets bloom on the skin, giving a soft, floral powderiness. As the floral face fades, its powdery facets grow stronger, sweetened by some amber and dusted over with clean woods.

It's a little boring, a little safe, but perfectly suits a well-put-together yet modestly mannered man who just wants to smell good without alarming anyone with his scent.

I do love a powdery iris, and this is one of my favourites. Among a sea of generic-smelling designer releases, L’Homme stands out as something more distinctive. A solid choice when you're running late, feeling unsure, or just not in the mood to dedicate much brainpower to your scent.

    This one was also a lil too powdery for me, but i hear the Intense is incredible

      It's right on the cusp for me. I tried it for a while as a potential replacement for the discontinued Dior Homme Eau, but it doesn't hit in the same way. It's the sort of scent I'd like a diluted version of permanently emanating from my body, in preparation for whatever perfume I choose.

    Looove Prada and looove this fragrance. Some people complain about the longevity but it’s almost beast mode on me. Like 12+ hours.

      Decent longevity on me too - a good 8ish hours. That's 3/5 stars in my books haha. We need a 10 point rating system really! My 4 stars are reserved for the 10-12s and the 5s for 12+. Great how it lasts so long on you though, skin chemistry/climate etc is so important.

      For sure! I feel like I got blessed by the skin and fragrance gods because even the scents that perform poor on most people seem to do well on me. Never tried one that lasted less than 6 hours since I’ve been into fragrances. I’m loose with my ratings though and just hand out 10s like crazy 😆

      Haha I'm quite the opposite 😆 for me, anything above a 5 is on the good side, and I've only ever given a single 10. Lots of 9.somethings though.
