Working for the Drydown

Pride is a bit of an interesting one. It opens like a smokeless Tonnerre by BeauFort London; almost like a lemony cleaner, though, there is no lemon and it shares almost no notes with Tonnerre. That cleaner opening softens as it dries down and allows the fragrance to shine while staying relatively linear, but I’m not sure many would pick this up based on a first sniff of the top notes, despite it being a creation of master perfumer Dominique Ropion.
