Sample Sunday - Part Deux

Had a sneaky sniff of this on paper this morning and my first impression was that it was sweet and cozy so I left it out to try tonight before bed. It certainly doesn’t evoke the feeling of a White Spring for me (I was expecting fresh, green and ethereal flowers.

This is a sweet floral gourmand of orange blossom, delicate hints of jasmine and a sweet mallowy vanilla. I don’t pick up any grapefruit notes. The white tea note is extremely subtle in the dry down. The sandalwood is perfect, it doesn’t lean too warm or overwhelming. It reminds me a lot of Valentino Donna Born in Roma Ivory, both from the same year so I’m not sure which one came first but they’re defo hoping on the popular orange blossom and vanilla mallow band wagon.

But in a nutshell, this is really lovely. It would be a beautiful sweet and feminine night out perfume, moderate to good projection. But I think it’s versatile enough to wear for various occasions and year round (in Ireland.. not sure about high heat lol). Im enjoying my scent bubble that’s getting me through the Sunday Scaries, preparing for Manic Monday.
