Big surprise in a little bottle

My job requires that I go into many grocery stores around my area and the other day it brought me to a target. After I was done working I popped on over to the fragrance section. I wasn't expecting to buy anything just curious what targets had to offer. They had a few different ones from Duke Cannon. The first few I tried I hated. Then I got to Deep Space by Duke Cannon. I have used Duke Cannon products in the past, most notably their aftershave balm which I absolutely love. My expectations were low as I picked up the tester. The first thing I noticed after I sprayed is how nice the atomizer was, for 22.99 it rivals some of my more expensive independent fragrances, then came the smell. The description says this, "Aromas of black pepper, oud, and that new spaceship smell." That "new spaceship smell" note comes off to me almost like an aquatic, fresh, bergamot note with black pepper. It smells nice, I'm pretty impressed, I put the bottle down and start heading home. I'm about ten minutes away from target and I can still smell it. The smell has mellowed and that fresh smell is gone and in its place is this sweet, smoky, woody, vanilla scent with a luscious and creamy texture. The way I was going home happened to pass another target. I pulled off the highway, went to that target and bought a bottle. For 22.99 this is an absolute steal. When I got home I was asked what I was wearing because it smelled so good. It lasts all day and projects for most of it. Cannot recommend it enough.
