Lavender flower

I've got a sample of this perfume as a gift with a purchase. I don't think I've ever chosen something like this myself, as I've never been to Provence, so it's hard for me to judge this aspect of the fragrance. But, if you put "Provence" in Google, you'd see colourful landscapes with bright purple fields of lavender and hyssop.

That's what this perfume is all about: rich, almost mastic lavender propped up by hyssop and spices. This is not the usual creamy or dusty lavender you often see in fougere perfumery, this is the full-bodied humid herbaceous carnival of a fragrance. The perfume feels opulent, long-lasting, and crafted with a lot of love and attention to multiple aspects of this note.

Again, I can't say whether that's the smell of Provence fields, but this does smell like a freshly cut lavender flower on a hot, humid day. I'm enormously grateful that I was able to experience this fantastic perfume.
