Vanilla Wrapped In Furs

When I purchased the discovery set for this collection, I wasn’t expecting this fragrance to be the easy winner. Arcana does vanilla (and gourmands) extremely well, but those often aren’t my personal taste. She does, however, also use musk like a carnal weapon, and those are often her most intoxicating to me.

Rabbit’s Revenge is the best of both worlds. The Mexican vanilla is rich, opulent, almost boozy. It’s sweet, bordering on too sweet, but the balance with the animalic musks create a sensual indulgence.

The musk is decidedly animalic but in the realm of what most would consider very wearable. I almost wish it was pushed a bit more, but I am still quite pleased with the balance as-is. The fur accord lends an airiness that keeps the vanilla from feeling weighted down; there’s a plush texture on the skin.

The dry down is boozy, VANILLA, but the musk remains happily present. I suspect, given the absolutely feral reaction from my partner, that I’ll be buying a larger size of this very soon.
