A classic for a reason

Finally got to try this classic today. I got out of the gym and saw this at the local decant shop, and decided to buy 5ml of it immediately.

It opens with an intense green smell, as its name suggests. After about an hour, the greenness fades into the background, and it dries down into a spicy and woody scent with a bit of tobacco and leather in the background.

The opening can be off-putting, yes, but after that, it's quite great to my nose.

From what I have heard, this is already the "toned down" version. It's a shame that I don't get to smell it in its prime, as I wasn't born yet.
