Legendary

Seems like everything there is to say about this fragrance is already said. Relique d'amour is both deservedly popular and unique, and I'd highly urge anyone to sample it given the chance.

It evokes a stroll in the woods, slightly damp after rain, gentle flowery scent in the air. The tiniest hint of balmy frankincense trembles here and there. You can imagine many years gone by, legends made, legends told, and this perfume is certainly a legend in itself as well.

It's borderline impossible to classify this fragrance, as it's a little bit of everything. Green, but not fresh, rather stale. Flowery, but not sweet, just a tad smooth. Certainly not a "church incense" sort of perfume, as frankincense and myrrh are barely there, elusive. It feels rather heavy, but not suffocatingly so. Fragrances like this I like to call "kaleidoscopic," as every time you sniff it, you get a different combination of its notes, invoking a unique picture.

I wouldn't complain over its longevity even, as it's generally not half bad. My skin doesn't hold onto perfume at all, and this one stayed confidently on for half a day at least. All things said I'm pleasantly impressed with this perfume and wholeheartedly agree with all the popularity it has.
