If you don't know Manuel Cross the Rogue nose stands by "Rogue Perfumery is about true fragrance art. No IFRA compliancy! No EU restrictions!" where you stand on that, is of course, your choice.

I found out about Rogue from a Reddit group some years ago & I got hold of some of this before my honeymoon to Sri Lanka. Out of the 87 bits & bobs (ok maybe an exaggeration, I probably only had 50) I had stashed in my wash bag, this was the only fragrance that stood up against the heat.

Fast forward a few years & a UK stockist turned up so I bought a full bottle.

This is a dreamy forest scent with a big dose of oakmoss, cypress & touch of camphor & a floral & musky dry down

If you are a fan of the vintage Polo green then you've either found this already or you need to at least give it a try. They are not the same, but they occupy the same space. When people say 'they don't make em like this anymore' they do.

    Manuel Cross does great work. Mousse Illuminee was not for me, but I appreciated the concept. I thought Fougere L'Aube & Bon Monsieur were great.

      Agreed he does. I've not smelt the former but enjoyed the latter. Chypre Siam & Bonded are 2 other favs of mine

      Fougere L'Aube would remind you a lot of Green Irish Tweed. Perhaps 80%. The remaining 20% being something that smells vaguely berried, and gives the overall green-coloured composition a pink-ish vibe. It's great. I really liked Chypre Siam too, but it's certainly more particular than the two I mentioned. I have Bonded on my list as well. Targhee Forest was a miss for me - worst of the bunch that I tried.

    I really need to smell this one. Shame it's hard to find in my country.

      Thailand. The popular brands are quite easy to find, including popular niche brands like Amouage. But when it comes to obscure, lesser-known niche brands, then it's hard to find those.

      I found a store called Skonx tucked away in a cool area in Bangkok when I was over in November, but no Rogue unfortunately

    Rogue’s perfumes have been on my radar for a few years now but I’ve yet to try any. I really need to so thanks for the reminder.

      If you know that sort of thing is in your zone, then it certainly makes sense to try them. I also find them very fairly priced considering it's niche perfumery with quality ingredients
