Lancome Absolue Les Parfums Discovery Set

I've wanted this for awhile and recently got it on sale. This is (almost) all of Lancome's Absolue line, which are all riffs on rose.

Just a quick paper test today - my quick first thoughts with more details to follow. Ranked from my best to worst.

Rose or Die - A rich, sweet, complex, citrusy rose. It smells like citronella coils mixed with rose, but I love it 😂 Oddly, citrus isn't listed in the notes, but I definitely get the black tea and woods. Think a rose and citrus version of Nest Indigo.

Not Your Rose - So light and pretty. Fresh, aquatic and a bit salty. If you like Idole Aura, this is similar to the dry down, but not fruity or sweet, and a lot more mellow.

Le Parfum - Slightly spicy citrus, musk and rose with a little tea. I wish for more tea as a tea lover, but it's still pretty!

Oud Bouquet - A rich, sweet, oudy rose reminiscent of Oud Satin Mood but sadly OSM is still the winner to me. The praline note is lovely!

Hot As Rose - A herbal rose with many different green herbs. None are overpowering, and I still mostly get rose. It's quite unique, but I wish they pushed the herbs more!

Storm and Roses - A green, foresty sweet rose that is similar to L'Ombre Dans L'Eau, but sweeter and with a brighter character. If L'Ombre is a rainy forest with roses at night, this is the same forest during the day. Beautiful, but redundant for me.

Rose on the Moon - This is for my OG Delina fans. Smells incredibly similar, a fruity rose with that polarizing tart note, but Delina is better.

6AM Rose - A soapy and musky fresh-out-of-the-shower rose. Very pretty, but not unique enough for me to buy. This is a safe pick and easy wear perfume!

1001 Roses - Your basic "rose and more rose" perfume. It's well done but not groundbreaking. Pure rose and a hint of aldehydes.

I Flamed A Rose - Hate the opening. So many better patchouli and rose perfumes out there!

Hell Of A Rose - Hate the opening. Dries down to a savory, grassy, musky, animalic scent with rose. Not a fan.
