      Right?! So amazing. I guess it's technically more of a church incense, but my experiences in religious buildings prior to moving to Japan is extremely low, so I don't have that connection. 😂 Highly recommend giving it a try!!

      Have you tried CdG Avignon, Heeley Eau Sacree/Cardinal & Filippo Sorcinelli LAVS? They have a classic Christian church incense smell whereas CdG Kyoto, Diptyque Kimonanthe and Aesop Hwyl smell distinctly Japanese. I wonder where Sancti lands on this spectrum.

      I absolutely love LAVS and really enjoy both Avignon and Kyoto. I think the incense is probably more directly comparable to a Christian-style incense. However, the photorealistic woods are deeply attached to a scent memory I have of stumbling across an old shrine in the countryside which was having a ceremony in summer of 2023. So for me personally, I think the association will always be with that instead!

      Exactly! Incense is one of my favorite notes, but the majority are things I can't wear to work, especially in the summertime! This is like the perfect "fresh incense" that I didn't even know was possible 😂

      Let me know what you think when you do!! I can definitely see it being a good gateway to incense fragrances for many. Comes off so clean and refined. Subtle, yet complex. Truly blown away by the first wear so far!

      Not at all, honestly! The citruses are present, but not strong enough that I focus on them- they more just seem to add a fresh brightness on top of the incense. They fade quite quickly as well
