The modern Shalimar EdC (not the original) opens sharp, with an almost medicinal blast of citrus. Once that burns off, what’s left is a dry, dusty vanilla mixed with a light incense. There is zero sugar here. It smells clean, powdery, and straightforward. Think more like a high-end, classic grooming product than a modern designer release.

It doesn't project across the room, and it’s missing the heavy, dirty leather of the original vintage. On a guy's skin, it just wears like a quiet, comfortable daily scent. It won't compete with the heavier, complex woody fragrances on your shelf, but it works perfectly as an understated, dry wear when you just want to smell good without shouting about it.
