Creamy woods and a hint of rose

One of the less talked about Memo smelly waters, but the first time I tried this on skin, I was MESMERISED and could not stop smelling my arm. I didn't want to wash it off, and within 24hrs I'd ordered a bottle.

This is a really intriguing scent - it opens with carrot seed (a new one on me at the time, but it adds a slight earthy, dry - almost powdery - sweetness), blackcurrant and pink pepper, before moving into the rose, orange blossom and spice heart (the rose is very subtle to my nose) but it's the base that's the star of the show in this composition, and the one the fragrance is built around - sandalwood, cashmeran and oak (a nod to the major oak of Sherwood forest, home of the legendary Robin Hood). The sandalwood is mellow, elegant and so creamy - almost lactonic, and fluffy, soft cashmeran contrasted with the nutty, textured oak.

It's incredibly feminine for a wood centredperfume, unique and long wearing, with stunning artwork and packaging - buttttt I think Memo have discontinued it, so can be picked up for a very good price at the moment.

A very grown up, nuanced fragrance.
