I’m refinishing a large wooden reptile enclosure and recently had issues with a waterproof sealant not adhering to paint. I’m trying to sand it off, but it’s not wanting to come up and I just spent an hour removing it from a 2’x4’ piece of wood. I have three of those left and a couple of 2’2’s. Contemplating throwing out the whole project and building one from scratch.

      I bought it in May and have been working on it since May 15th or so. I was ALMOST done and now I’m having to sand all the liquid rubber sealant and paint off the interior and start over. Probably another couple of weeks. Then I can fill the inside with a drainage layer, the substrate, and put my live plants in there. It’ll be another month or two before the snake can actually move in. The roots of the plants need to get good and established so she doesn’t trample them. She’s a big girl.
