Lilac obsessed

Every spring, a peculiar conniption comes over Kyiv. As soon as lilacs are in bloom, crowds of people flock to the Botanical Garden, located on Dnieper hills, to get a sniff of a lilac flower. Not that lilacs are uncommon - they are present all around the capital, it's just that the view of the lush greenery sprinkled with bright pink and purple and the heavy waft of flowers in the air has a special magic to it no one can help but be fascinated by.

This is a soliflore perfume, but it manages to capture that unique allure of a heavy multifaceted lilac, seemingly blooming all around. I'm not a lilac fiend, but find this fragrance intriguing in its approach to this flower, departing from the usual powdery and tender connotation. This is the fighting lilac, if you will, boinking you over the head with its richness.
