Afternoon Sun, Cracked Leather, & the Beach

A little over a year ago, drawn in by the promise of leather, I tried Staccato for the first time. Obviously, I enjoyed it; I love everything I’ve tried from Miller Harris. But since then, I’ve wanted to spend more time with it.

Staccato first opens with spice - ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, clove, and saffron - on tobaccoy leather. As it settles into the skin, the initial warmth fades leaving something much more cool, almost an oceanic leather. Like waking up to the afternoon sun of the valley, getting in an old convertible with cracked leather seats, and making your way to the beach as the sun is setting. The floral notes and ambergris present an unexpected freshness while the sweetness of honey rounds everything out over the cedarwood base.

From start to finish, Staccato is a unique and specific experience.
