Absolue Storm and Roses

Storm & Roses is a green, fruity rose that is reminiscent of Diptyque's L'Ombre Dans L'Eau. If that is picking berries at dusk in a rainy forest with a rose garden nearby, this is the same forest during the day. The blackcurrant syrup in Storm & Roses makes the scent a bit more tart and bright, and the patchouli makes the scent earthy, dusty, and spicy. It is more fruit forward, but still has the scent of damp wood and greenery with a lovely herbal sweetness and some additional soapiness. It is a sharper, less natural, but more uplifting version of L'Ombre Dans L'Eau with the daylight bringing everything into focus. This is a very "feel good" scent for me that puts me in a positive mood!

Projection is good for roughly 3 hours, and the scent lingers on skin for at least 12 hours. Very good performance on this one.

This is another nice perfume in the Absolue lineup, but seeing as I already have L'Ombre Dans L'Eau, I will not be getting it. They have very similar scent profiles, though I think Storm & Roses is easier to wear and less moody. It is a great choice for spring because of the rain and green notes, and is bright and fresh enough for summer and appropriate for early fall as well. It would be perfect for day time social events, vacations, and work or school. 7.5/10 rating for me - though I enjoy it, I feel it is a bit sharp and could be more well blended.
