Ellis BrooklynSun Fruit3.762 ratingsThe suns out! So I thought the coming days would be a good time to crack on with the Ellis Brooklyn discovery set. On first spray, the fig reminded me of Father Figure, so I had to put a sneaky spray of it on my right hand to do a comparison. They both have that delicious sweet ripe fig and spicy orris combo, but Sun Fruit is the spring/summer to Father Figure’s autumn/winter. Where FF is a fruity fig that leans into its floral powdery goodness, Sun Fruit is a floral fig that goes all out tropical fruits. The pear, bergamot and fig are bright and juicy. The coconut is mild, just enough to give it a tropical feel and in the dry down I’m getting hints of pineapple despite that not being listed as a note. But it’s not a sweet tropical fruit cocktail. There’s a fresh and coolness to it, like fresh tropical fruits served in a cold with cold vanilla icecream. Really cheerful and summery and really enjoying this so far.
