Where it all started. I lost all my perfumes in a house move over a decade ago. But was delighted when I found these still tucked away in a drawer in my childhood bedroom of my parents home. The White Diamonds mini I liberated from my mum all those years ago, but the Sunflowers belonged to young teen me. So they are officially the longest perfumes I’ve owned my collection, over 3 decades old 🙈

I started mini Monday last week, as a way to actually use the perfume in my minis, but I am cheating today a bit as I got a 30ml of Sunflowers for nostalgia a while ago, so that’s what I’m wearing on my skin. And it never disappoints. Pure sunshine in a bottle that transports me to carefree days. The juice in the mini still smells great, it’s a little more deeper and buttery.

    Omgosh, I am so sorry for the loss!! I, too, had one of my perfume boxes stolen from my by my contractors (along with a lot of expensive jewelry 😭). What a delight to have found those cuties!!!!

      Ohhh nooo! That’s awful! Were you able to claim anything back? My collection was pretty worthless to anyone else, but priceless to me with so much memories attached 😩😩 more like a time capsule.. I had kept bottles that meant a lot to me, a gifted No.5 from an amazing woman when I spent some time away from home when I was 10, my mum’s Lou Lou and Poême, my Cabotine with the glass top, Amarige, Ysatis, Organza, a mini L'Air du Temps that my friends mum gave me, it was her signature back then, she was amazing. And other little mini’s of memories like Trésor and Red Door.

    So sorry to hear that you lost a few of your beloved fragrances! I can relate to this so much; in a similar way where the sentimental value surpassed any monetary value. It must’ve felt comforting reuniting with these 2 🫶🏼💕

      lol thanks. I had never experienced a scent like that back in the late 90’s and it’s probably part of the reason i was so punch drunk love (weren’t we all at that age with our first partners? Haha). I’m sorry to hear about the loss of all your perfumes too; such a blow I’d imagine

    I just smelled Sunflowers for the first time in 30 years the other day and it HIT ME LIKE A BRICK. There must be similar scents around these days but I certainly haven’t smelled them.

    The way a scent can drag you back decades is so fascinating. It’s almost like a bottled Time Machine. Some Guerlain scents takes me right back to my grandfather’s living room. Listening to his stories and watching the waves out at the fjord. Fascinating.
