Bottled joy

Sunshine Woman is the first Amouage I fell in love with. It was discontinued by then, so it took me a while to get a partially full bottle. I guess it was brought back this year. In many ways, it's not a typical Amouage. It doesn't have the incensey, smoky base the house is often associated with, it's relatively easy to wear and love. It opens with a bit of a fizz, just a touch fruity and sour (blackcurrants?), but turns creamy and balmy almost immediately. There's an apricot tinge, likely from the osmanthus. The base is smooth and marzipany. Like other Amouages, Sunshine Woman is well-blended and feels balanced. Other Amouages might be more interesting, but I feel like I can't go wrong with Sunshine Woman.
