Soft, calming, sweet

About a year ago, I was on the hunt for a powdery iris (no! Shocker for me 🙃). I wanted something with a classic composition and tried many perfumes out. This made it to the final four.

It’s sweet, densely powdered then softening as it wears. The iris is light carroty and flirts in and out between the layers of powder. When I say powder, I don’t mean traditionally cosmetic powder (l’iris Santa Maria Novella; Iris Pallida Guerlain)~not face powder. While cosmetic smelling, it’s more upscale body powder (back when those were still a thing. Are they still a thing?)

This has a nice patchouli in the drydown. Not so overly patchouli that haters shouldn’t sample this mind you.
