This isn't a cheap Terry's Chocolate Orange; think more along the lines of an 80% cocoa dark chocolate truffle, bursting open with a tart orange liquor.

As the fruitiness fades, the chocolate deepens, enriched by warm spice and lightly sweetened with vanilla.

The blend of ouds in the base doesn't read as traditionally oudy - there are no barnyard facets here but instead grounds the chocolate with a luxurious, woody depth, keeping it from veering into saccharine territory.
