I’m very glad I tried this. I had multiple chances to buy this blind but held off.
This opens very similar to tobacco Oud by Tom Ford. It’s dry, it’s boozy, it’s woody. The tobacco is very noticeable in a good way.
However, this has that Le Labo slight sweet woodiness thing that some people love and some do not. Think The Noir, with extra tobacco and whiskey. If you like The Noir, stick with that. It also has that weird briny note that feels pickle-esc.
This has good performance overall. But to be honest I can’t see myself wearing this.
